Oddly this started out as an embroidery as part of a covid project in 2020. The theme was monsters and animals, and anyone could join in and make a square. Later I turned the design into a woodcarving as the first project in my own studio space. 

The carving is in linden wood and stained with a walnut color. It’s one of my favorite projects so far and one I keep coming back to to redesign and try in new mediums
