• Illustration

My work always starts with a sketch, sometimes on paper, sometimes digital. My aesthetic is rooted in Gothic and Renaissance architecture, focusing on intricate details and decorative ornaments.

Folklore, particularly forest mythology, shapes much of my work, and I have a small obsession with the Green Man—a mysterious figure who appears repeatedly in my creations.

  • Traditional Woodcarving

In the studio I work mainly with traditional hand tools and I'm slowly growing my collection of woodcarving chisels of diffenet kinds and shapes.

I try to work mostly with locally sourced wood, but black walnut is by far my favorite. Some of the wood has been gifted to me, and I love knowing the story behind a tree and its origins.

  • 3D

I got interested in 3D as a way of scanning and replicating my original carvings but it quickly led me to experiments with 3D modeling and printing too. I enjoy the quick workflow from sketch to prototype and it’s something I want to explore more in the future
